The eceLINK (Summer 2010) is now available on our member's only website*. This publication includes a very timely and informative feature section on Unionization and Early Childhood Educators. We urge all of our members to not only read and learn about this highly important topic themselves but to also forward the information to fellow RECEs. RECEs need to be informed and provided with accurate information.
Highlights in this issue include:
* Introduction pieces on what unionization is and how it effects RECEs: Unionization for RECEs and Joining a Union 101.
* Survey results and a special edition Question and Answer period with: Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO), Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) & Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF)
* An article written by Annie Kiddler, Executive Director of People for Education, about RECEs working with Parents in the Early Learning Program.
* Highlights from the AECEO 60th Annual Provincial Conference and 2010 AGM Results including the new Mission and Purpose Statement
*If you are a member, you can view the eceLINK online by logging into the members only area (on the left hand side of the home page). Once you log-in to the members only area, click on "Member Resources", "Publications" and then "eceLINK" to view present and past issues online.
If you don't have a user account, contact Bernadette Summers. bsummers@aeceo.ca
